i have some issues,

1what are the basic needs for electronic BRS

2 relationship b/n work in process and work in progress in sap

Hi

Regarding the second part, please know that WIP is often interpreted as Work in progress or Work in Process. It is that part of the item that is still being under work and progressing to completion.

1what are the basic needs for electronic BRS

The manual BRS in SAP requires a lot of manual work. When the number of entries in bank increase, it would be very difficult to manually input all the entries manually in FF67. Thus the use of Electronic BRS came up. Here the bank has to provide the statement in a multicash or a MT940 format. HDFC bank and SCB provide the statement in multicash format while citibank tends to gie it in MT940 format.

Here we can upload the .txt file (header and item file, in case of multicash) through FF.5. Thus saving time and efforts in doing BRS.

Hi Jana,

Basic needs for EBS is transaction types of Bank and customized SAP must be same. Example every day end or Month end business can download the statement from bank website,which same statement having transaction type (type of transaction example cheque reced,cheque issue,Bill recd,bill issue) ,value date and amount with narration. You need to assign the same transaction types in customization and also you need to maintain the Bnak clearing accounts.

Business can make posting with using of Bank clearing accounts for all transactions in SAP.Main Bnak accoiunt would be debit or credit ,while execut the BRS in system. Same time Bank clearing accont nulify with Main bank account.
