Hi all,

I have a problem with an installation of an additional application server of SAP PI 7.1.

The problem is that when I installed a new application server (a dialog instance) of PI and I put online it, it modify all entry into SLD, owerwriting entry of a central istance!

All adapter go in error, because all entry in CIM information are modified with the information of the additional application server that must be offline for now!

Now I modify all information manually and the problem is solved, but my question is:

why I find this problem?

It is not normally that the entry was overwritten!

thank you for any help

David.

Dear David,

Ideally to unleash the full potential of PI 7.1 systems with application servers you need to install WebDispatcher as per note 1052984.

Meanwhile your issue can be solved by

Navigate to 'Configuration Management -> Infrastructure -> Java

System Properties'. For Usage_Type_All_in_One, Service "XPI

Service: CPA Cache" set following properties:

- SLD.selfregistration.hostName: CI HostName

- SLD.selfregistration.httpPort: <httpport>

- SLD.selfregistration.httpsPort: <httpsport>

Hi!

thank you for your support!

I yet found the configuration that you suggest me in SAP Note 1052984, but it is a configuration in an High Availability scenario.

In our scenario, we don't have an High Availability, but we want to install an another application server PI to scale all.

In your opinion, the setting of parameter that you suggest me is the SLD problem solved?

best regards,

Davide
