Incorrect log on parameters with ADO .NET data provider for CR2008

I am using ADO .NET data provider (dll) as a data source for my report. This data provider returns a data set (single table in this case) for a report developed with CR2008. When this report is deployed to BOI XI it produces "Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters." error time to time with no clear patterns. This report can work fine om BOI XI for hours and suddenly generate this error. It will continue to generate it more them N time (where 1<=N<=many) and start working again. I thought it could be an issue with a web-service that works behind DLL but it does not look like that as this web-service responds pretty quickly. I looked at various timeout parameters on IIS that seem to be more or less relevant and increased them all just in case (should not really matter though). This error message is displayed right away after report is executed in the case of its "unsuccessful" execution... In a few minutes report is running fine again - there no clear pattern what actually makes it to fail.

This issue is happening on both ASP/IIS and java XI InfoViews.

Any help is appreciated.
