Hi,

can anybody explain me what is different POC weighting used in customisation. How it effects the EV analysis.

A) Cost plan( active project, total values)

B) Budget( overall and active)

c) work basis

d) weight

and few more in standard................

Is it related to weight that we use in POC of the activity/WBS

Regards

Zinni

please give some examples for ease in understanding.

Dear Zinni,

in general the POC weight is used for the calculation of the Aggregated POC values.

Ín the customizing of the Progress Version you can choose between different basis values which can be used for calculating the POC weight:

o Cost plan (active project, total values):

Calculation of the Aggregated POCs will be done on basis of plan values in:

RPSCO-WLP000 (for the relevant objects with GJAHR = u2018u2019 and VRGNG = u2018KSTPu2019)

o Budget, overall (active project):

Calculation of the Aggregated POCs will be done on basis of budget values in table

BPGE (for the relevant objects with WRTTP = u201841u2019 and TRGKZ = u2018Nu2019)

o Budget, yearly (active project):

Calculation of the Aggregated POCs will be done on basis of budget values in table

BPJA (for the relevant objects with WRTTP = u201841u2019 and TRGKZ = u2018Nu2019)

o Work, basic (active project):

Calculation of the Aggregated POCs will be done on basis of the work values in:

AFVV-ARBEI (work involved in the activity)

AFVV-ARBEH (unit for work)

o Work, forecast (active project):

Calculation of the Aggregated POCs will be done on basis of the forecasted work values in:

AFVV-OFMNW (forecasted work)

AFVV-ARBEH (unit for work)

o Weight (active project)

Value which can be entered for the object directly on the tab u2018Progressu2019. The value is stored in

one of the following tables (depending on object type):

PRPS-EVGEW

AFVC-EVGEW

o Cost plan (active project, annual values):

Calculation of the Aggregated POCs will be done on basis of plan values in:

COSP-WKG001 u2013 COSP-WKG016

COSS-WKG001 u2013 COSS-WKG016

RPSCO-WLP000 (for the relevant objects with GJAHR <> u2018u2019 and VRGNG = u2018KSTPu2019)

An example for the usage of POC weight for the calculation of Aggregated POC values:

Basis: Weight (directly entered on object)

Hierarchy:

WBS element 1, Non-Agg. POC: 30%, manual POC weight: 5

|

-- WBS element 1.1, Non-Agg. POC: 60%, manual POC weight: 2

|

-- WBS element 1.2, Non-Agg. POC: 90%, manual POC weight: 1

So the Aggregated POC on WBS element 1 will be calculated as follows:

30% * 5 / (5 + 2 + 1) + 60% * 2 / (5 + 2 + 1) + 90% * 1 / (5 + 2 + 1) = 45%

Kind regards,

Dirk
