Problem while accessing Transaction Iview

Former Member

Hi all,

While accessing transaction iviews in portal i get a dialog box for username and password and then get an error stating

SSO logon not possible; cookies must be activated in the browser

Choose "Logon" to continue A dialog box appears in which you can enter your user and password

No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not secure to send a password

after going through other similar threads in SDN i checked out in

system administration - support-SAP Application- SAP Transaction Iview

Here once i click on Go, the processing goes on for long time and i get connection time out.

i checked in STRUSTSSO2.

the SSO certificates are uploaded in ACL and certificate List

i checked in RZ10

a) login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1

b) login/create_sso2_ticket = 2

c) icm/host_name_full = <Backend_Host>.<domain>

all the above parameters are maintained

Both R/3 and Portal passwords are the same and SSO Certificates have not expired..

Can anyone Pls guide me in solving this issue?

Regards

Asha. K

Hello,

The Problem is related to following things

1) Check the SSO is configured Properly

to check SSO is configured or not

-> logon to r/3 system

-> goto to tcode se80

-> select BSP Application

-> select the application NET200_SECU_D3

Set the Security Privacy setting as low to accept the logon ticket.

And also check the browser seeting to accept the ticket.

Thanks

Hi Sandeep, Chittya

Thank u for ur valuable inputs.

The connections are working fine and the end user is assigned full permissions for access.

I checked for NET200_SECU_D3 BSP application in se80. I got a message saying it does not exist.

I was not prompted for password when i tried accessing the same application in different system.

I then checked all the browser settings, but found nothing helpfull.

The user is prompted to enter SAP Web Application Server username and password everytime for Transaction Iviews and IAC Iviews.

As i am new to Portal i dont have much idea as to where the problem really is.

Pls let me know if there is any way i can check and resolve this problem.

Hi,

Check for expired certificate.

Remove the existing certificates and re-import certificates.

Kind regards,

Hi All

Certificates are valid.

I guess its more of a browser settings related problem as this problem is faced only by some users and and for rest it works fine without asking for login credentials for transaction ivews.

Can anyone tell me if there is any specific browser settings that have to be checked for this kind of problem?

Hi Asha,

Since it is happening only for few users it possibly could be a browser settings problem. Check whether th cookies are enabled in their browsers.

Follow the below path in IE

Tools - Internet options - Security - Custom level - Cookies

Go to the above mentioned path and check whether Cookies are anabled or not.

Also check whether the user Id's exist in the backend system for those whom SSO is not working.

Note: The above path is for IE6.0. It may vary based on the different versions of browser.

Hi Asha,

Both R/3 and Portal passwords are the same and SSO Certificates have not expired

You need the usernames sames on both the systems.

1. Are these systems, on the same domain?

2. Did you test the connection of the systems, if so what was the result.

(System Admin-System Config- System landcape and choose the system for the backend connection and choose connection tests and let us know the result)

3. Right click on the system, as in step 2 and open permissions and ensure you have the everyone group added and enduser for the same checked.

4. Also, logon to the backend system and ensure you have the permissions to access the Tcode that you are calling from the portal.

Cheers!
