WAS explaination

Hi,

I'm new user in Web AS and NetWeaver.

I'm a little bit lost inside the documentation wood of SAP.

I'm looking for a tutorial which explain all the procedure to install a WAS.

Because I'm using NetWeaver 2004, and I would like to connect my components to R/3 ECC 5 (SAP 6.4). So I need all steps to configure my WAS, and a tutorial which explains the relationship between SLD, NetWeaver, J2EE and R/3 (for me it is a real mess... for the moment).

Is it exist somewhere inside the help.sap.com, if yes, please tell me.

Hi,

For installing a WAS you can get the installation manual

from http://service.sap.com/instguides. There you can find the guides for installing WAS under Netweaver->

04-> Installation -> Web AS and related docs.

Similarly you can find the ECC 5.0 installation under

mySAP Business Suite -> ERP.
