Hi All

I try to access to solution manger diagnostic by link http://<hostname>:50000/smd/admin but I don't the right autorization and this error message appear:

"You do not have sufficient rights to start Solution Manager Diagnostics.

Please contact your administrator to check the permissions on your system "

I use j2ee_admin user with those roles:

SAP_J2EE_ADMIN

SAP_SMDIAG_SAPSUPPORT

SAP_SMDIAG_TEMPLATE

SAP_SMDIAG_WIZARD

SAP_SOLMANDIAG_E2E

SAP_SOLMANDIAG_SAPSUPPORT

Does anyone tell me why I can't access to smd page?

Thanks in advance for collaboration

giovanni

Hi,

could you check the WEBADMIN JCo Connection? A common problem is that the user used for this connection is locked.

In addition apply note 1172948 on ABAP and at least LM-Service patch 4 on Java.

Best regards

Hi all,

I am getting the same error as giovanni when trying to connect to Solution Manager Diagnostics.

I tried all the suggestions above and still cannot get in.

Giovanni,

Have you gotten this to work yet? What did you do?

Thank you,

Neil

Hi Neil,

1. Does the user J2EE_ADMIN exist in client 001? Please check.

2. If exists in client 001 with role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN,

then first, try to login http://<hostname>:<port>/smd.

Sanjai

Hello Sanjai,

As Mickael said the problem is related to Jco connections

In fact the the internal user SMD_RFC user is not in validity date.

To check that log in to webdynpro administrion page and find the two applications

E2E_SMD_SM_DATA

E2E_SMD_SM_METADATA

Change the validity date from SMD_RFC user and

Perform a test to see if the Jco connections are working fine.

Warm regards

Also Make sure that SM59 connections WEBADMIN and SOLMANDIAG are working fine and login to visual administrator go to JCO RFC Provider and check that WEBADMIN is running

Hope it helps

Cheers

Hi Simos,

Thank you for the help. You pointed me in the right direction.

The problem was with the user that was setup for WEBADMIN under JCo RFC Provider in Visual Administrator. This user (solmanwebadmin) didn't have any roles or groups in the UME and didn't have any roles in the ABAP side.

I put SOLMAN_ADMIN (which is setup during the solman_setup process) in instead, and I am now able to connect to solution manager diagnostics.

Thank you again!

Neil
