I think there are two options:

1) Give these external users access via a citrix application

2) Use the SAP Web Dispatcher.

Hi Anders,

Can you please let me know in some detail what are the settings which is required for Web Dispatcher.

Is there any limitation to use any feature of ICWC like CTI integration or Email etc with Web Dispatcher.

Hi Pulkit,

You can even access Web UI by providing the VPN login details of the Network of the Server and access the Web UI through the URL directly.

Try this option and I have been Using it.

Thanks,

Hi Sri,

Thanks for reply but we are not looking for VPN right now and Web Dispatcher looks the right option.

Please let me know is you have any details on this.

Hi Pulkit ,

Web Dispatcher is other way to have access but I have given the solution which is in general used.

To have the web Dispatcher Set up Basis team has to fallow few steps .

Here I can provide the steps

Step1

Web dispatcher:

u2022 sapwebdisp.exe

u2022 icmadmin.SAR

from the following location of the CRM Server:

<drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\ JC<xx>\exe

Step2

In the Command prompt go to the directory where you have copied the above 2 files and enter,

sapwebdisp u2013bootstrap

This will generate the profile file (sapwebdisp.pfl) for the first time usage.

Step3

After the PFL file is generated successfully as shown above, the URL to call:

http://HOST-FOR-WEBDISP:PORT/sap/wdisp/admin/default.html

which request for the user name and pwd

User: icmadm

Password: XXXXXXX

The user name and password is generated during the configuration of the Webdispatcher for the first time.

Step4

You can access your Web UI now via following URL:

http://HOST-FOR-WEBDISP:PORT/irj

Step5

You can also install the webdispatcher to run as a NT service. You need to first download ntscmgr.exe from Service Market Place and then use the following command to install the web dispatcher.

NOTE:

Check for the ntscmgr.exe file in the folder <drive>\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<xx>\exe\ folder before trying to download from the Service Market Place.

ntscmgr install SAPWebdispatcher -b <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\ JC<xx>\exe\sapwebdisp.exe -p service pf=sapwebdisp.pfl

These needs some Basis Knowledge and ask them to set up Sap Web Dispatcher.

If you need any data .Publish Your mail.I can provide the related Docs.

Thanks,

Sri.
