VERSION 1 NOT PICKING

Sir,

version 1 is not getting activated in system only version "0" is appearing

we have made changes but not reflecting it is getting updated in version "0"

Hi

kindly check if the PO is tramsmitted to the vendor, i.e. check if the PO is outputted.

Once the PO is transmitted the version 1 will get activated. In Version management a new version will get generated only when you select version complete and PO is transmitted.

I ACTUALLY FEEL THERE IS AN ISSUE IN THIS MESSAGE WHICH CONTINUOSLY TROUBLING ME

"No new version created because a message has not yet been transferred"

Hi

Check version relevant field changes in IMG - MM - Purchasing - version management - version relevant fields and try. I hope the change made to the field is not triggering new version.

And also check PO is released or not and print has been taken place or not.

I hope you have maintained combination of purchasing org - doc type (NB) - doc category (F) for version management.

Also have u activated control data 'Version active' and 'Version 0 OK' for that?

Hi

Check version is active in IMG - MM - Purchasing - Version management - Set Up Version Management for External Purchasing Documents - tick the two check boxes (version active and version 0 is ok) for doc type.

Check once again - for doc type, p.org and doc category - version management is active and both the check boxes are ticked. Create new documents for testing.

Hi

When new version is created, it should be released inorder to reset the release strategy. But release strategy (once released) will not have any effect on version creation.

And try creating manually a new version (in version tab in PO) - check whether new version with number is generating?

You are on right rack.

Initially version 0 gets populated. Procedure is that when you complete version '0' then set check box 'version completed' to complete it. Now add new version from 'add version' button and then make changes in PO and save. When u see the PO again it will show the version 1 populated with difference.
