librfc32.dll error

Hi,

We have 2 SAP instances reside on one machine. Server runs on WIN platform. After Support Packages implementation we are facing problem that SAP instance SID disappeared from SAP MMC – Microsoft Management Console.

We went through the instructions in note 370872. I mean, we upgraded file librfc32.dll to the newest version available on OSS. Then we started ntenv2reg.exe via selecting corresponding instance for which you wanted to transfer environment into WIN Registry. Then we rebooted the server but SID entry in SAP MMC is still missing.

Does anyone here experienced the same situation?

Hi,

I am not sure of the exact error but when I came across the message "The dynamic link library librfc32.dll could not be loaded." in the past it was due to the fact that the R3DLLINS was not executed and as a result DLLs, which were required by LIBRFC32.DLL were missing.

To install the missing DLLs, unpacking the archive attached to note #684106 (Microsoft runtime DLLs) with SAPCAR and executing 'R3DLLINS.EXE' resolved.

I hope this helps in your case.

Regards, Mark

Hi,

I needed to manual touch WIN Registry under node:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP]

I guess this helped me to get SID entry to SAP MMC.
