what is the sginifiance of the account group?

Hi,

U can upload master data through LSMW or a BDC.

Regarding account groups:

G/L account group

The account group is a classifying feature within the G/L account master records.Eg, current assets, current liabilities, investments, fixed etc etc. The account group determines the fields for the entry screens if you create or change a master record in the company code. The account group also determines in which number interval the account number must be.

Vendor and customer account group

The account group is a classifying feature within vendor & customer master records.

The account group determines:

o the number interval for the account number of the vendor,

o whether the number is assigned by the user or by the system,

o which specifications are necessary and/or possible in the master

record.

Eg, domestic customers, export customers etc

Eg RM vendors, Fg vendors, Transport vendors etc

There are different way that you can upload the master data.

As a functional consultant, recording would be the most viable option.

Maintain Object Attributes

Maintain Source Structures

Maintain Source Fields

Maintain Structure Relations

Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules

Maintain Fixed Values, Translations, User-Defined Routines

Specify Files

Assign Files

Read Data

Display Read Data

Convert Data

Display Converted Data

Create Batch Input Session

Run Batch Input Session (Takes you to SM35)

Hi,

LSMW or BDC of Master data upload has to be done by recording FS00, XD01/FD01 and XK01/ FK01 and not the above tcodes

Hi

You can do recording in LSMW or BDC with ABAP assistance to upload master data. Account group would control the number range and field status for the master data (e.g.OBD3)

You can upload the Master data through LSMW,BDC

Account groups are using for grouping the same type customers or vendors

EX:-Foreign Customer

Domastic customer
