We're trying to set up archiving and deletion in XI. I followed the step by step guide to Archive and delete messages. For testing, we choose only one outbound interface and set our retention periods to 3 months.
We ran the archiving job, it archived a few messages, but did not archive the message interface that we had chosen. To try another case, we choose all message interfaces to archive and maintained our retention period at 3 months and ran the archive job. It did archive a lot more messages, but not all. I was able to see the transactions on SXMB_MONI --> Monitor for processed XML messages, where as I should have been able to see transactions older than 3 months only under Archived XML messages in MONI.
Its obvious that we're doing something wrong here. Can somebody provide me with a more specific way to test archiving? A step by step process if possible.
