Dear Selva

1) For raw material expiry date is monitored from the date of production entered in Goods receipt. For finished product expiry date is taken the date of GR of the material.

This has reference to the expiry period you have maintained in the material master in Plant data/ storage 1 view.

2) you can get the list of expiry from the T code MB5M

3) Now for monitoring Expiry date in QM you have deadline monitoring using QA07. in this there are 2 funtionalities based on whether you have batch management active.

If you set Block Indicator in QA07 batches are blocked if their expiration date

1) If the batch status management is active in the corresponding plant, the batch status is changed to "restricted".

2 ) If the batch status management is not active in the corresponding plant, the batch stocks are transferred to the blocked stock

Hope this gives you some idea

If the expiration date check is active, you have to enter the production date or the expiration date of the batch when you enter the goods receipt. The expiration date is updated in the batch master record every time a receipt is entered (though not in the case of goods issues, stock transfers, and transfer postings).

Hope this helps.

Thanks!!!
