Returns option for credit memo

Hi,

In 2007 version in A/R,when we are creating crdit memo we have the option of copy from Returns.But evenafter creating the Returns we can't get any returns document in the copy from list.Can somebody explain why that option is given.

Please note: If you created the Return using the Copy from Delivery..then the Return Closes the Delivery and both transaction are reconcilled so when creating a Credit Memo that Return might not be displayed.

ONLY if you create a Return document directly (not using a copy to / copy from function) will it be available for copying to Credit Memo

when you use copy from option in credit note you need to select the proper BP for whom you have made some returns, when you select particular BP then related transanctions to that BP will appear in list,

and other options as suggested in above replies

Make sure you have the right thing selected in the item/service type dropdown box just above the rows.

To copy from an item return, the credit note needs to be on item when you select copy from return.

Your question is not very clear. If I understand you correctly, you faced problem that you could not copy return from credit memo. Is that your question? If it is, only the same type documents will be listed. Such as service type will only allow the same type.
