Web Dynpro Generation null exception

Can any one help!!!.

I open webdynpro my project, but it show

Web Dynpro Generation: Generation aborted with exception

null (java.lang.NullPointerException) Error.

I try repair, reload, rebuild, but all can't fix.

please help!!!

I´m facing the exactly same problem with NWDS 7.2 SP3. I´ve tryed the same things as YouXuan, reload, rebuid, repair... Nothing worked. There is no stack trace, only the following error:

Description: "Web Dynpro Generation: Generation aborted with exception null (java.lang.NullPointerException)"

On element: HistSearchComp.wdcomponent

In folder: DN1_TRDAPR2_D₀productname(2fmain(2fwd~company.com/src/packages/com/company/productname/main/wd/wd/comp/histsearchcomp

Whe are using NWDI to version control, the person who created this project has no build problems, but who checks in that project, receive the error message above.

Hi YouXuan Du,

Any way your project will be stored in your local System itself.

So create a new Development Component Project with the type of Webdynpro.

Now copy the contents from the old project to the new project.

Try to do this and let me know if its giving error or not.

Thank you, I copied old project files from src/package/ to another new project,

webdynpro still generation the same error.

Anyway, for this project, I rewirte again using new empty project.

Hi Du,

In my Thinking....in your project there are some input-fields or Input-Texts,which requires values at the startup of your project....But at startup it get NULL values so it gives u null pointer exception.

So, i think u must check ur all the input fileds........

If this is not the case....let me know what exactly ur's project structure and what r u doing....

if above ans solves ur's pb then give reward's points..

when I open my webdynpro project, It's only show the error msg.

I can't fix it. even I try reload, rebuide, repair......
