Hi Experts,
Our client wants to maintain budget according to cost element and cost center and then releasing it at a later date. If budget is exceeded they want approval from manager.
Please provide your opinion as to how can I achieve this. I have checked in cost center budget. But here we can not maintain budget accrding to cost element. Client uses ECC5.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
There is no provision of distributing the budget values on internal order KO22 on a monthly basis. It is only annual values or overall values. Therefore no functionality to distribute the budgeted values by monthly basis.
KP06 - Cost and Activity Inputs - Cost Center Planning - Monthly distribution is possible
KP26 - Activity output / prices - Cost Center Planning - Monthly distribution is possible
KP46 - Statistical Key Figures - Cost Center Planning - Monthly distribution is possible
KPZ2 - Cost Center Budget - Only Annual Budget - NO monthly distribution is possible
KO12 - Internal Order budgeting - Only monthwise distribution is possible if you maintain relevant element groups in detailed planning and unit costing area. - See OKOS
KO22 - Only annual values budgeting is possible - NO monthly distribution is possible.
Please let me know if you need further help.

Ravi

Hi
I suspect to a limited extent you can achieve this by using Internal order (KO01, KO22,) and through field status group make IO mandatory for certain GL accounts
Thank You,

Hi,
Internal order is an additional cost object to capture costs along with cost center (it is optional)
For e.g. As explained above, if you want to capture costs at a lower level than departments (cost centre) then u can create internal orders. Normally all employees are created as internal orders, so for employee related expenses like Travel u can capture the cost centre (Marketing dept) and the internal order (employee no).
To create internal orders, first u shld define IO types in the system and assign number ranges to them. IO types could be IO Marketing spends etc....
You can also use IO for limited Budget control thru KO22/23. Here u can assign budgets to a IO and when the actual expense exceeds this limit system will generate error/warning messages.
This is already given in SDN.
