Hi Sunezer,

Requested Delivery Date (RDD) is the date that the customer ask for delivery to take place at his premices as per his requirement. Which you may find in the Purchase Order that they send us and we enter that date in our sales order as a RDD

Which is used in Availability Check to confirm whether is it possible for supplier to meet the requirement within the time limit the custoemr have asked for or not ? (Time limit means the RDD)

Now when availibility check runs for the first time it goes for backword scheduling and find the date on which material should be available to pick. If material is available for picking on the required calculated Material Availablility Date then the quntity can be confirmed and that becomes your Schedule Line Date..

If Material is not available for picking on the requred date then System goes for Availibility Check with Forward Scheduling and calculate when can the material be delivered to customer at the earliest and that becomes your schedule line with confirm quntity.

Here if you have 2 or more schedule line for the single line item it will split the delivery..

You can further search on Avalibility Check for the same...

Hope it will help...

Regards,

HP

Hi

Requested Delivery date is the date on which customer wants to receive the goods.

It is specified in the overview screen during document processing as informed by the customer.

It is a header data in Sales order.

System goes for Backward scheduling first and checks whether this Requested Delivery date can be confirmed or not keeping the different Lead times in view.

If the Backward scheduling is successful, then system confirm this Requested Delivery date as Confirm Delivery date which is reflected in the schedule line of the item.

If the Backward scheduling is not successful, then system goes for Forward scheduling and finds out the next earliest possible date on which it can be deliverd and again reflected in the schedule line.

If Foward scheduling is done then you will find two schedule line.

The first schedule line corrosponds to the Requested Delivery date with no confirmed quantity and the Second schedule line corrosponds to the Confirm delivery date with confirm quantity.

Hi ,

Requested Delivery date is the date on which customer requires the ordered goods to be delivered

The reqested delivery date is set in the Sales order docment type

Setting: this is under the tab Reqested delivery date/ pricing date/ prchase order date

Field is Proposed delivery date

It is a check Box, if you check the field then you have to maintain the values in Lead time in days

Schedule line date is the date on which the system atomatically confirms the quantity for the order quantity

Schedule lines are confirmed according to the Availability check and TOR settings in Schedle lines V/07

Hope this clarifies

Please revert if you have any queries.

Hi,

Requested delivery date of the document

The proposed date by which the customer should receive delivery of the goods. The date is preceded by a date type (a "D", for example), that determines the format of the date (day, week, or month). The proposed delivery date is stored in the document header.

The delivery date for the schedule line. The delivery date can be the

Date requested by the customer, or (if the requested date cannot be met)

Earliest date proposed by the system after automatic availability checks and delivery scheduling.

Thanks,

In simple terminology

- the date requested by customer to deliver the products is called Requested Delivery date

- the date on which stock is confirming in your sale order. Sometimes, this will be equal to customer requested delivery date also.

thanks
