While i was making downpayment to my schedual agreement the system asked me to inter the item number as mandatory fied how can i make the item number non mandatory fild as i want to make the downpayment to the hole schedual agreement.?

you cannot post downpayment to any of the whole document.
it has to be mapped with line item.
