Please tell the biggest issues handled while implementing tha SAP APO DP.Tell mee the challenges handled during implementation.

Hi Prasanna,

Some of the few typical DP implementation issues & the challenges handled are as follows:-

1) Choosing the right forecast method:- The effective way of handling will be to analyse the past historical data in terms of business requirement and strategical ways and then to arrive at the suitable method which supports trend, promotion, lifecycle planning

2) Accuracy of Statistical Forecast:- This issue can be handled via effective cleaning of past historical data which are having one-time orders, obsolete products, products which are hold by marketing, etc.,

3) Change management:- Getting the users to start forecasting, end user training is a big challenge which can be done via appointing a Change management person and change control strategy in place

4) Complexity of forecasting:- This can be avoided by choosing only relevant products to sent and maintin in APO and not all products to be planned in apo

5) Complexity in configuring:- This can be handled by choosing SAP standard objects like planning area, planning book, profiles etc., which will save time, efforts, resources, easy implementation, avoid later-on issues etc.,
