Hi
Is realignment process can transfer both master data and transaction data?
what is the difference between realignment and life cycle planning?
Thanks
Prasanna
Hi Prasanna,
Realignment process can transfer both data. First it creates the new CVC combinations, deletes the old combinations, then copies the planning data to the new combinations. Characteristic value combinations are maintained for master planning object structures. Realignment itself works at this level. The system creates new characteristic value combinations based on selected values from existing combinations. It then copies the data from the old combinations to the new ones. The data of all key figures in all planning areas based on the master planning object structure is copied.
If required, the old combinations are then deleted together with the data.

2) The following link takes you to life cycle planning relevant information
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/EN/90/cb8287fcab25419668a745716a55cd/frameset.htm
3) Life cycle planning is planning of a product lifecycle consisting of different phases: launch, growth, maturity, and discontinuation. In this process, you model the launch, growth and discontinuation phases whereas Re-alignment involves generating new characteristic value combinations based on existing combinations and copy data from the source combinations to the new combinations
