Indication of context changes

Hi all,

before navigation to another view I need to save information displayed in the current view if it was changed.

I want to show save confirmation popup only if the changes occured. How can I efficiently indicate that there was changes of the context - for example something was modified in a Text Edit UI-Element or DropDownByIndex?
