Error in Depreciation run

HI,

When i will run the depreciation at the time system through the error.

You can only post in new year after closing the previous year.

Message no. AA687

Diagnosis

You want to post in a new fiscal year. However, a posting must have been made in the last period in the previous fiscal year before you can do this.

Procedure

Post to the last period in the previous year first.

Please tell me how i gohead further.

check whether you have posted depreciation for all the periods in previous year. You may have to post this depreciation posting in special periods if the accounting periods are closed for the previous fiscal year.

Hi,

You are trying to post the dericiation in the current fiscal year without opening the new asset fiscal year.

So post the depriciation in the last period in the previous fiscal year,Then close the previous period & open the new asset accounting period.

Orelse you if you want to post the depriciation in the current year then close the previous year open the new fiscal year for the Asset accounting & post the depriciation in the current fiscal year.

If i will close the last fiscal year and post the entry in current F.Y then how i will post the depreciation for previous f.y.If there is any Tcodes for that
