Hi,
Is it possible to install SLD to an existing JAVA system? in other words if we selected no SLD during NW04s JAVA system installation and later decided to have it's own SLD to the installed JAVA system.
Is this possible? if yes, how? which components needed to install?
Thanks,
Kalyan.
there is no special installation required
do SLD post inst steps using [SLD guide|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwesrce/helpdata/en/44/963f207fb35da3e10000000a1553f6/content.htm] or for clear picture use xi3.0 post SLD steps

Hi,
Install SLD on an Existing Java System - NO ( As there are many preconfiguration steps involved during the installation this should not be performed).
Please consider the below senarious:
1. Is your Java system a single stack? if Yes then what this is used for If this is used for BI reporting then you can reinstall the Java stack as this dosent hold any data - the only problem would be you will be spending extra time to patch and do the preinstalaltion steps.
2. if your Java stack is Dual stack or Portal then you should look at some other options - I have no idea depending up on your landscape and business requirements.
3. if you did a freash installation and havent released the system for the end users - unistall sap and reinstall again.
Revert back if you need any further information.
