transferring a material from one batch to two batches

Hi Gurus,

can anybody help me with this. I need to transfer some quantities of material from batch A to batch B and batch C of the part X. What movmement type do i need to use and what transaction. i created the two batches B and C.

Anusha,

You can perform MB1B transaction 311 - Movement type, hope the Batch A, B and C are for the same material. If it was different material then you can use movement type 309.

there are two batches in the storage loc. how can i make sure that the quantity is picked up from the batch which has stock

you enter the correct batch manually.

if you enter a batch that has no stock then you would get a message that minus stock is not allowed for material.......

it is not asking me for issuing batch. it just asking for receiving batch

you have to enter the receiving batch manually too.

SAP will create this batch in background if external numbering is allowed and you entered any value.

thanks. everything worked fine and i checked everything in MMBE and it shows up
