Hi All,

I am facing the above problem after the updation of kernel , igs and JVM in PI 7.1

The java is not coming up.

The disp+work is having the error

Hi,

I think this problem is related with some networking issue. Please check the connection with message server and trace files for dev_disp and dev_w0.

Even i feel its a network related issue but where could the issue be... it was working fine.. i jst upgraded the kernel igs and jvm. and after that the java is down

I ahve already pasted the trace of dev_disp. Here you can find the dev_w0 also

Doesnt throw much light. The ABAP stack is fine.

The bootstrap service is starting and stopping.. its retrying after every 4-5 mins

Thanks to all.. the issue is resolved.

Since i had done the upgrade of the server.. i had applied the SAPJVM5_24-10004442.SAR but there seems to be a problem with this upgrade....

The reason i was able to find this was jvm_bootstrap , jvm_deployment and dev_bootstrap and dev_bootstrap also the dev_collector files had exit code other then zero and the said one common thing

Apart from the config tool was not opening. And one noticable thing was the AS Java Process tables in mmc we had the deployment starting then bootstrap taking over and then failing..

What i did well under the folder F:\usr\sap\PS3\SYS\exe\jvm\NTAMD64

There were two jvms the pervious version of 15 and the new version of 24. I took a back up of the 24 and deleted the 24 from this folder. this offcourse after stopping the server

After this i copied the files inside the 15 version in the following path

F:\usr\sap\PS3\DVEBMGS00\exe

And that was it.. the java was up when i restarted it...

They only worry is i how do we upgrade the jvm now... well need to think on it

Please try to disable antivirus if there is any and give a go. Secondly it there any firewall configuration. It will be good idea to check with network team.

I am not able to open the config tool as well. I got some threads which suggested to change the heap size.

Can you tell me are there some parameters in the profiles which can help me change the JVM settings

Hi Juan,

How do i revert,

I used the JSPM to upgrade the Kernal , igs and JVM

I didnt take the back up of the folder also..

What i did later now is that i extracted the .sar files SAPEXEDB_127-10004281.SAR and SAPEXE_127-10004279.SAR replaced them and restarted the server. i am stuck with the same error.

I still am wondering if the error is related to Kernal or something in network.

The niping seems to be working fine.. if there was an issue with the kernal then i suppose the ABAP stack also should be down. Here only the Java Stack is down
