modify customer account group

Hello,experts.

can I modify customer accout group?

when I use tcode xd07 to modify it ,the message is :

Customer 900905 test

Account group one-time customer

must be maintained after the account group has been changed

follow after is a table strip with sales structure.

Customer can be blocked manually up to this point.

and the result is not changed.

what does it mean?

how can I modify the customer account group?

pls help me out.

yes,I see ,I just do it follow your instructions,

and the messageis :The planned change is not allowed as the following

groups would be masked by the new account group

A D120 Control 037 County Code, City Code

then the result no changed.

so I don't know what 's wrong.

the step is simple but I just can not changed the account group.

A D120 Control 037 County Code, City Code

these fields are not there in the account group for which u r trying to change

So goto OBD2 and select your target account group which you want to modify and check whether the fields

county code and city code are suppressed make the required or optional

then you can modify the account group

BOTH the source account group and Target account group should be similar in fields and views then only you can modify

As pointed in one of the responses already, you cannot modify the account group,unless the fields in the current account group is same as the target account group.

But,usually that is not the case..

I have come across this situation when user's accidently selected wrong account group and we wanted to change it to the correct one.

But due to the difference in the screen/fields between the two account groups,it was not possible to modify the account group. And new customer master data had to be created with the correct account group.

Hi,

While changing the account grp of a customer check that no range and also check whether other account grp has similar features like the one you have assigned earlier while creation of CMR.

After giving the another correct account grp then it will take you to the customer master for changes to update.

You are trying to give the acc grp which is not supporting this.

try with correct acc grp and confirm

Hi

If you want to change the account group of customer use the transaction XD07

->Enter the customer number XXXXXX.

->One pop up will appear with Company code and Sales area combination select the once which you want to change and press enter.

->Now select New account group and press enter and save the same.

continue the steps and in the screen enter the new account group

the customer number will be the same just check in XD02 enter the customer and from menu goto EXTRAS and administrative data you will get the account group

Also from environment select account changes and click on the field account group
