SOAMANAGER - Mass Service defintion maintenance

I have a volume maintenance problem and was wondering if anyone knows a solution.

We 50 web services and growing across 10 systems each with approx 3 client

we have 1500 soamanager bindings to define.

I cant find an API to easy do this.

The doesnt seem to be an default binding generation concept.

This load of SOAMANAGER maintenance is becoming an issue.

Im looking for tips on how to solve.

SECATT failed on our system. ABAP NW7.1 no EHP1

Hello,

Please see the program RSWSCONFIG. This can be used for releasing several earlier Web Services (for which end points can be setup using WSCONFIG). in one shot.

program doesnt exist in our system.

Program RSWDCONFIG does but has not content.

Is there an newer version ?

Hello,

There is an OSS Note 938177(Mass Activation of Web Services) about this program RSWSCONFIG. This note talks about a correction to the program applicable for Support package SAP_BASIS 700 0009 (SAPKB70009). So this should be avaliable prior to the Support package 0009 (Ours is 0015). If your support package is still older and you may get this program from Enterprise Service Preview system. You may download it and upload as Z-version and test it.

Hi Venu,

a useful tip thanks.

The code and note apply to 7.0 only.

We even tried the code on the 7.1 system.

It just maintains the old style (wsconfig) entries.

It does not manage the new SOAMANAGER entries.

So im still looking....

Did you try SOAMANAGER Mass Configuration ?

I've not tried it myself because I have not had the need yet.

This is the place supposed to be used for your need.

I've only seen it for NW 7.0 not NW7.1. Maybe the name has changed as it is so common with our SAP friends...

Mass config is OK, but only goes partially to solving the problem.

This is useful for consitent defaulting,

but you often need to manually add minor details.

EG we need to add soapactions which are based on a naming convention.

SO mass config tool will never solve our problem.

But we found the API and it works !!!!

So we have a solution.

Function Group - SRT_WSP_CONFIG_API

solves our problem.

Especially function CREATE_RT_CONFIG
