Are you maybe using a double boot (XP and Windows 2003) system?

Follow the suggestions of the previous poster, the problem is known at Microsoft, there's a hotfix availble at the given link.

Tried that, Still the same results.

Anywaz I went for an hardcore solution for this. The main root of the problem was that my system was in dual boot configuration and the error FirstVolumeMount is bug from the side of the microsft windows 2003 server nad its has also got a patch for the same also, but unfourtunately that patch didn't work for me so what I did was , i formatted the first partition of my drive and installed the os there which has to load sap and this way my problem was solved.

So I close this thread now.

Hi Abhinab,

please check if this is applicable in your case.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934336/

Another forum talks a problem similar to you.. the problem seems coming on servers with more than one server OS in partition.

check if you can follow what David Hill described.

Debasis.
