Any body Have experinace working with as/400 ?

hi experts

can any body have experience with working with as/400 . we need to communicate with as/400 .

my questions is

what way we can communicate with the as/400 ?

what are the adapter we need to use to communicate with as/400 ?

is there is any relevant docs or blogs on this forum ?

Note: I don't have any single drop of knowledge on as/400

We are connecting to AS400 using JDBC Adapter. We use SQL to update tables for the receiver side and we use stored procedures to poll for data on the send side. We are also doing some http send from AS400 to XI for some EDI to iDoc transactions. You can do most anything with AS400 depending on your knowledge of this platform (or your access to an AS400 developer).

One more Question is that the data base drivers to connect to as/400 . where we need to install.

That Means in SAP PI Server Side or As/400 Server .Side ( We need to connect the as/400 in remote system)

Hi

you can use either FTP adapter for this or DB2400 adapter for communication to AS/400

based on requirments you can go either with DB or with Fileadapter

I think its same as for other drivers only thing is you need to collect those jars by googling

As far as i Know,

AS/400 is a database system.

So you need to use JDBC adapter to communicate with AS/400 system.

Search the forum with AS/400 as search string to get some useful links.
