storage bin column in QA32

Hi,

In the transaction QA32 in change layout mode there is a column Storage Bin,

I would like to know when this storage bin column gets updated.

Dear Vinay

Storage bin comes in pretext of Warehouse Management where the movement of material is bin wise.

Are you using Warehouse Management?

I have also limited information on WM.

In WM storage bins are the smallest units.It identifies the exact location in the warehouse where goods can be stored. It also consists something called as QUANT. It is stock of particular material

During the GR of the material first istocks are moved to a storage type. The storage type is a subdivision of a complex, physical warehouse. Different storage types are identified by their warehousing technique, form of organization, or their function.

A typical warehouse could have the following storage types:

Goods receipt area

Picking area

Quality area

High-rack storage area

Bulk storage area

Open storage area

Goods issue area

The storage bin which is shown in the QA32 is Good receipt area. Once the GR is done stock is moved to GR storage type. then it is moved to Quality storage bin and then moved to goods issue bins.

Warehouse management gives clear cut idea on stocks in each bin
