CRM Designer changes does not reflect in BAB

I am able to start BAB, and able to start CRM Designer.

And I am able to make changes, for example, change the field position.

It looks good. And I save.

But when I click 'refresh preview' button in BAB, the new changes does not reflect in BAB.

It seems that the changes made by me never got effective.

I've tried report CRM_BSP_BLUEPRINT_XML_SERVICE to export the xml file, and made changes in CRM Designer, and upload again. The changes can be seen.

It seems that it is not a problem with CRM Designer itself.

Would you please advice? What configuration I've missed?

I've activated the services in sicf

crm_bsp_bab_dis

crm_bsp_bab_dss

and user have been assigned.

Thanks & Regards,

Ruth

Hi Ruth,

My advice is dont use the Designer. The CRM Designer isnt supported by SAPCRM 5.0. Try to do all the configuration in blueprint tables.

If you have changed the layout with Designer and after you do the refresh of your fieldgroup structure then you always the designer changes will be lossed.

Manuel

PD: I hope you can understand me.

Hi Manuel,

Thank you so much for your reply.

That is also one of my question.

After I upload the XML file, and can see the layout changes, but I can find no field group setting changes in crmc_blueprint_c or crmc_blueprint.

Where are the settings be stored?

I tried to change the blueprint field group settings directly in crmc_blueprint_c, but it is not as handy as CRM Designer.

CRM 5.0 will no longer have CRM Designer? not able to call it from BAB?

Regards,

Ruth

Hi Ruth,

The changes of CRMDesigner arent in the blueprint tables, this changes works like guixt.

Look at OSS Note 841858: Information for CRM 5.0 customers for the unsupported CRMDesigner

Hi,

The practice which we followed is complete all changes in customising and at the ned use crm designer to align the fields in the screen. But even it is bit tricky to use designer.

Delete the lay out for the field group and then upload the XML .You can find the uploaded values in the crmc_layout table.
