Packing change

Dear all,

As my project requirement, in the delivery after picking and packing (handling units created) we want to change the delivery quantity and picking quantity. System is taking the quantity if it is more than the existing quantity, subsequently we can do packing. But if the quantity is less than the existing quantity which is already packed it is saying that 'the quantity is already been packed, and quantity cannot be changed". If we do unpacking then it is accepting. But we want do it without unpacking. Is it possible. Awaiting your helpful responses.

Hi,

the system is correct in not allowing to change the delivery quantity or picking quantity after PACKING.

the reason is to avoid the inconsistencies during posting of delivery. For eg: if your delivery qty and picking qty is 10 and packing qty is 20. The system will not allow you to do the goods issue due to mismatch of quantities.

It is better to repack the quantity in the Handling unit that you want to change and thereafter change the delivery and picking quantity.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply Ramana. In our case, for delivery we use either truck or rail. After loading sometimes we need to either remove or add the material after weighing. For us the packing material would be truck or train. So we are looking for an option where we won't do unpacking.
