Hello All,

We are trying to do a role replacement/removal for a person we assigned as an Audit Manager in the Corporate/Organization Level.

When coming to look for the assigning we want to change, the system doesnu2019t find them at all.

Any support would be great

Thanks

Yudit,

Check your timeframes. I would go to the Organizational level hierarchy, set the timeframe to the whole year. Hit the "go" button to set the timeframe.

Make sure you close all the access assignment screens. Go back in fresh and everything relevant within the entire timeframe will show up.

Any time something looks funny or wrong or incomplete, check you timeframes. Nine times out of 10 that will be the issue.

Hi Matt,

Thanks.

I made sure we are using the same time frame and still no entries.

Yudit,

The timeframe in your screenshot only shows the current month (April 2009). The role was probably assigned before that so it is not showing. Just to be safe, use the whole year timeframe or a timeframe that includes the date the role was assigned. Set the timeframe on the Org structure (for the whole year) go back into the "user access" area and then work with it. Close any User access screens if they are open when you set the timeframe on the org structure. It is important the timeframe is set properly.

Also, if this still does not show up, it is possible the role was never assigned. Another thing you can do to troubleshoot the issue is go to SAPGUI use TCode SE16 on table HRP5303. This will show you the Person-AppRole-Object relationship. For example it will show that "Joe Blow has the control owner role assigned for control 123." You can verify the object ID numbers against HRP1000 if necessary (this table contains the initial object definition for all objects).

This should help. If it is currently assigned, the problem is a timeframe issue. Use HRP5303 to determine if the role is assigned.

Hi,

The table has the entries :

01 O 50000000 1 01.04.2009 31.12.9999 5303 O 50000000 30.03.2009 JOELLEZ H 50000990 COR-AUDMGR

01 O 50000000 1 07.04.2009 31.12.9999 5303 O 50000000 07.04.2009 JOELLEZ H 50001004 COR-ICMAN

We tried with Year 2009 timeframe and still it's not there

Any more ideas ?

Thanks

Yudit,

You have a different person assigned to each role (probably with different validity dates). Do the following. It should work.

1) go to User access => replacement / removal

2) click replacement removal link

3) Set your timeframe and click go

4) click remove or replace button

5) enter a name in the Find field

6) click the go button

7) select the record

8) click next

You should now be able to make the change.
