Database Overview

Hi Gurus,

Our SAP Production System DB is Oracle 10.2 and live from1st,Nov-08.While monitoring the DB growth thru Tx.DB02 -> Database -> Overview and selecting the History Tab giving me details.

On March 30th & 31st, I observed that Chg.Size Column shows 14.52 GB and 8.83 GB respectively.

What Could be the reason for a very high Growth for only these days.Due to this there is sudden DB growth of 26.90 GB for Macrh Month only.

Can someone help me in Analysing this Growth in DB.I need to trace the Table Grown Suddenly Or Is there any LOB caused the Growth?.Kindly help.

You can check the "table history" section and see which tables grew most.

Hi Markus,

I followed as advised but it shows Top Growth in Tablespace with type LOBSEGMENT(Name:SYS_LOB0000166286C00013$$) and not in Tables.Also Chg.Size/month(Mb/Month) Column shows 5,253.00.

I am not getting any clue as to how this Sudden Growth can be analysed for future Detailed Analysis.

Do i need to use BRTOOLS?.
