Why is SWEL empty if SWIA is not?

Hi,

I'm sideways involved in SRM project where workflow are used.

I can see the workflow being started and executed via transaction SWIA.

However i see no entries for any events in transaction SWEL.

(and yes, i did activate the trace in transaction SWELS)

Is this working different for SRM than for ECC?

Hi Robert,

If you are manually executing workflows as an administrator then the BO event does not get triggered so I guess there should not be any entry in SWEL in that case.

If you want the event to be listed in SWEL, I think you shoudl first trigger the BO event and then the associated workflow shoudl get triggered and any entry shoudl be made in SWEL.

Hope this helps!

Hi Saumya, Daniel,

I'll give an example to clarify

If in SRM i change and save a contract i see in SWIA (or SWI1) that workflow WS14000086 is executed.

If i look in the definition of that workflow i can see it is triggered by one of the following two events

BUS2000113.CHANGEVERSIONSAVED or

BUS2000113.SAVED

However, when i check the EVENT trace in transaction SWEL i see neither of these events registered.

So i'm wondering if in SRM this happens differently then in ECC.

I did not start the workflows manually.

I checked SWI1 which looks a lot like SWIA

I checked SWI6

I did not come upeon traces of the events yet.

Kind regards

Robert

Hi Robert,

Check if t-code SWU9 helps.

Also try this path Tools -> Business Workflow -> Development -> Utilities -> Workflow Trace -> Display

Hello

In SRM we use SWI1 and SWI6 for the logs
