Account 640001 requires an assignment to a CO object

Hi,

While i am using this GL 640001, the following error is coming "Account 640001 requires an assignment to a CO object" . This GL is already assigned in OKB9 with Profit Center is mandatory (3) & cost center also assinged for this GL with several profit center.

suppose if i assigned any cost center in KA02 for this GL, it will not give this error, doc. posted successfully. But our team lead told we should not assign cost center for this cost element 640001 in KA02 and he told someother settings is there and he didn't tell that setting area.

Can anyone tell me where i have to set?

with regards,

M.Mohan.

Hi,

Every account that requires a CO assignment does not require an entry in OKB9 . Check whether the the orginal document has a cost assignment? or not.

thanks.

Hi,

1. In FS00, Select Edit cost element tab for the GL account 640001. After selecting you will get

KA01 transcation code screen. In that give the Valid from date and give enter and select the 01 (primary

cost) in case of expenses account or select 11(Revenues) in case of revenue account in CElem category.

2. Then, Go to OKB9 assign the cost center or profit center to the GL 640001.

Assisgn any one, wheather it is related to cost or revenue.

Hope this will work for you
