I am doing the installation of SAP NW2004s for EP portal

Everything went successful during the install but its complaining while starting SCS instance it failed because

Command: en.sapTA8_SCS00

pf=/usr/sap/TA8/SYS/profile/TA8_SCS00_ta8ixp00

Could not open the ICU common library.

The following files must be in the path described by

the environment variable "LIBPATH":

libicuuc30.a, libicudata30.a, libicui18n30.a [nlsui0_mt.c 1620] pid = 2703376

and the Operating system is AIX 5.4.3

I have the same problem on my AIX 5.3 (TL4) system and applied note 927432.

After installing the hotfix for AIX 5.3, I rebooted my server. The problem is <b>not</b> solved.

Errorlog:

Could not open the ICU common library.
   The following files must be in the path described by

   libicuuc30.a, libicudata30.a, libicui18n30.a [nlsui0.c 1620] pid = 536594

I opened a message on service.sap.com.

The support-desk adviced me to install the fix for APAR IY83580.

After the fix-install, you have to reboot the system.

This did the trick for me.
