Hello,
We are using SAP 5.0, Handling Unit management and WMS.
Is it possible to use Handling Unit management without using Storage Unit management in WMS ?
What are the consequences ?
With regards,
Hi,
You can use HU management without SU management in WMS. The only thing is you cannot move the stocks interms of storage units with in WMS. The system will store the WM stocks in WM units only.
There is no consequences

Hi,
Practical question, you dont want to use SUM at all? If that is the case, why would you want to use HUM in WM? You can always pack materials in the outbound deliveries. In my opinion the benefits only come up when you use SUM as well. The HU number from the inbound delivery becomes the SU number and by this, you can shift and pick material based on this number for an outbound delivery or internal movements.
Addition: it is not possible.

Hi,
Our project is split in two phases. 1. I-Punct with storage movement from production to warehouse. 2. Storage movement in warehouse with SUM (RF).
I-punt is creating and packing HUM's in storage location related to a WM warehouse number. In first phase we don't want to proces ME's in the warehouse.
We are looking for the most suitable solution for this in SAP.
With regards.
