Hi All,

I have assigned the task about the client export/import. Below is the scenario.

1. Source System is on Unix Platform where as Target System is on Windows.

2. In SP prospective my Target System is at higher level SP than my source system.

3. The Target & Source systems are not on same Transport Domain as some network contraints are there.

Now I want to know wheather it is possible or not? Please help me to understand this.

Thansk,

Shambo

No problem. Transports are operating system and database independent.

This won't work. To do a client copy support packages and DDIC level needs to be identical.

No problem - you could copy the data- and cofiles to the target server.

If you SP level and DDIC is not identical you may run into problems either during import, postprocessing or later in the application.

Not sure about this, but i think it is not possible.

This should be same on both system.

This is not an issue you can export and import

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply.

1. Source System is on Unix Platform where as Target System is on Windows

Is there any way you know about to confirm this

2. In SP prospective my Target System is at higher level SP than my source system.
This should be same on both system

I think it should not be an issue but not sure as I am importing the data from lower version system to upper version system.

Thanks,

This should be same on both system

I think it is possible becuase SAP supports the Hetrogeneous and homogeneous system. But both system should be on same release as well as same on patch level.
