You can modify the location of your CMS & Audit database in the Central Configuration Manager (CMC).

You can get more information in BOE Administrator's guide, chapter 5: Selecting a new or existing CMS database (page 198):

1. Use the CCM to stop the Server Intelligence Agent (SIA).

2. Select the SIA and click Specify CMS System Database Data Source on the toolbar.

3. In the Configuration tab of the "Properties" dialog box, under CMS Data Source, click Specify.

4. The remaining steps depend upon the connection type you selected:

u2022 If you selected ODBC, the Windows "Select Data Source" dialog box appears. Select the ODBC data source that you want to use as the CMS database; then click OK. (Click New to configure a new DSN.)

When prompted, provide your database credentials and click OK.

u2022 If you selected a native driver, you are prompted for your database Server Name, your Login ID, and your Password. Provide thisinformation and then click OK.

The CCM notifies you when the CMS database setup is complete.

5. In the "Properties" dialog box, click OK.

6. Restart the Server Intelligence Agent.

In general you just create new DSN entries in ODBC manager pointing to new SQL server, then change data source in CCM to use those new DSN entries .

That's if you have moved CMS DB from original server to the new one.

If the new server DB is blank - you'll need to create new SIA and point it to new DB using new DSN entries.

More details can be found in the Admin guide.
