Hello,

While trying to apply SAP Kernel Patches using JSPM, i am not able to see in queue / Deployment tab.

I have downladed latest kernels for windows 2003 server/oracle database/NW system,

SAPEXEDB_185-20001356.SAR

SAPEXE_185-20001354.SAR

DBATL700O10_40-20001356.SAR

I havn't download using sp-stack download method, simply i have download this kernel patches.

what could be the problem, why it is not showing in queue?

i am running first time on apab+java stack system.

Waiting for your kind response.

Best Regards,

V.Singh

Hi,

Check JSPM SCAN_INBOX logs for details about kernel SAR files.

There should be more info if they were detected or not.

Vasil

Hi,

SAPEXEDB_185-20001356.SAR and SAPEXE_185-20001354.SAR- are for 64-BIT UNICODE Windows Server on x64 platform.

If you are on 32bit Windows you'll need to download 32bit Unicode kernel. I think SAR files for 32bit Win and Oracle are:

SAPEXE_185-20000972.SAR

SAPEXEDB_185-20000974.SAR

Please note if you have dialog instances on other platform you'll need to download kernels for these platforms as well.

SAPEXEDB_185-20001356.SAR

SAPEXE_185-20001354.SAR

DBATL700O10_40-20001356.SAR

Check the permission of these files, and these files should be store in .usr/sap/trans/EPS/in

But what is the permission of these file, <SIDADM> user is able to read this file or not, just verfy that.

If <SIDADM> user will not able to read the file you cannot see the file in JSPM.

using JSPM you can only apply .sca,.sda patches

and the files you are saying are .sar format which are not supported

moreover are ABAP packs and have to be applied in ABAP system only

for JAVA there are different patches and are available in .sca,.sda formats on marketplace
