Hello Experts,

An exception occurred while processing a request for :

iView : pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/defaultDesktop/frameworkPages/frameworkpage/com.sap.portal.toolAreaiView

Component Name : com.sap.portal.navigation.toolarea.default

Exception id: 10:13_02/04/09_0039_12182150

See the details for the exception ID in the log file

How to resolve the issue ??

Moreover we are unable to drill down the portal content in portal content page. It is in "loading " status for long time. Is there any problem.

Regards,

Partha

Hi ,

This is permission problem.

Somebody has changed the " default Desktop" settings.

Please check the settings of default desktop and revert it to existing using administrator ID.

Hi

Thank you for the quick response. As per the note we have pasted and found the page but it is showing the same error

http://<Host Name>:<Host Port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/

pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fevery_user!2fgeneral!2fcom.sap.portal.frameworkpage

But we when we tried to drill down the portal content it is showing loading and staying in that sate for ever.

We need to first resolve that issue why that portal content is not able to load.

Please guide me.

Partha

Partha,

You have to log in as an Administrator when using the NOTE referred in the previous post.

I hope you are using your FQDN instead of IP address.

1. When was the last time you portal was working fine?

2. What changes have you done?

3. Which portal version and which sp level are you on?

4. Which browser are you using for your portal?

Dear Parthasarathy Ray,

But we when we tried to drill down the portal content it is showing loading and staying in that sate for ever

looks like you trying to open :

http://IP-address:<Host Port>/irj/portal

you must open :

http://FQDN:<Host Port>/irj/portal

P.S. if you open FQDN are you able to open :

System Administration -> Portal Display ->Desktops & Display Rules -> Portal Content

?

In any case, are you trying to reboot your server ?

Regards.

Partha,

If your DB is oracle, try referring to this SAP note : 1086644.

Also, you are using a very old version of NW2004s, try upgrading it to the latest sp level.

Good Luck!

Hello Everyone,

Thanks Bala and Sandeep for your kind support nad help.

@Sandeep : Our development portal is also at same SP level but it is working fine without the error and portal content is working fine. In our case this is MSSQL DB.

@Bala : Our Dev portal is opening in the same browser w/o any problem with the same IE settings.

So I think this not related to browser setting.

Can you please provide any other recomendation.

Hi Sergo,

No, I am not trying to reboot the server.

I checked the defualt trace file "defualtTrace.6.trc" anf found the

following error:-

OutOfMemoryError

It usualy are error if you not have correctly configured JVM settings for server and dispatcher nodes.

Are you have 32 or 64 bit mashine ?

You need follow per note : Note 723909 - Java VM settings for J2EE 6.40/7.0
