Crystal XI increased size of Excel file in export
We just upgraded from Crystal 8.5 to Crystal 11. Our users export Crystal reports to Excel (the full version, not data only). They do not want the data only option for some reports. For some reports with large datasets, users are experiencing extreme slowness in opening the Excel file--5 minutes to open the file. Or in some cases, it doesn't open at all and just hangs. We notice that for a comparable report run before and after the upgrade, the Excel file size has doubled. Is this expected? Is there anything we can do to assist the users with this issue? They are using Excel 2003, sp2 or sp3.
