Jump Queries

Hello Everyone,

Say, i have a query in which i restricted 2 characteristics on few values. When i create my jump query, is it a must that the jump query should also have the same filters in order for the jump to work properly.

Thanks

Hi Sachin,

That is not a technical reqt for the Jump target to work. For RRI the reqt is that you need at least one common char in both the queries.

Hope this helps...

Hi Bhanu,

Thanks for the response. According to you, say, if i restrict a char. '0Material' (exclusions or inclusions) in the main query and in my jump query i have no restrictions on '0Material'. If i Make a jump on a particular value, the results in the jump query will reconcile with the main query.

Am i right?

Thanks

Hi Sachin,

Lets say you have filtered 5 vales of Material in your sender report. When you do the jump, then it is always based on the value of char in that row...the jump does not pick up multiple values. So when you do the jump, it will take that value of Material which is in the row from where you right click > goto.

Hope this helps...
