Single Sign-On for SAP MI 7.0

Hi,

I recently configured a SAP MI 7.0 Client for Single Sign-On (SSO). The SSO is working as expected. The only thing is that whenever the MI Client is shutdown and then startup, when the user clicks the synchronization, the MI Client asks again for the credentials. After that it does not required to input the credentials until the next time the MI Client is shutdown and startup.

Is this the standard behavior if the SSO?

Is there any additional configuration to prevent requesting the credentials at Sync after the MI Client is restarted?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jose,

This is the perfect behaviour and is as per design and this is how it is intended to work. Just a few things things to remember.

1. If you install the and start up the client for the first time, authentication will happen at the time before log in to the MI Client. In this case, no user credentials are required when synchronization is triggered.

2. Once you shutdown client and start up, no user credentials are required to log in. But once synchronization is triggered, user will have to provide his credentials so as to get authenticated by the MI Server. This is only for first synchronization and not for every synchronization i.e user need not provide his credentials during every sync until MI Client is shutdown. And this process will repeat every time MI is shutdown and restarted.

Best Regards
