What is the significance and use of FX_TYPE property in Entity Dimension and how does it help currency translation?

It is a combination of all the different fields in the Currency Conversion rules that drive the accounting for currency translation. The preliminary driver is of course the Account rate type. You use a different FX_TYPE for entities for which you want the accounting postings to be different from the normal and make the appropriate changes to the business rules.
