How to select the itemcode without losing the column value

Hi,

I have created one user defined field (U_ORefNo) in Purchase Order Matrix .First i have to enter the OrderReference value on that and then i have to select the ItemCode in the matrix.if i select the Itemcode ,the OrderReference column value is removed .How can i solve this.how to select an item without losing the orderReference column value .

Please help to solve this.

Under normal conditions that should not happen.

Do you, by any chancem, have a FMS on that field?

thanks for ur reply.

I am not using FMS .but i am using the button to open the CFL and the value loaded in the matrix column(Order Reference).Depending upon the value the itemcode should be selected.while selecting the itemcode the value in the matrix column ie., Order Reference value is lost.I dont want to happen that lose of OrderReference value.How to solve this?.

Hi Dhivya,

According to B1, you can not add any value in other columns unless you choose the Item Code.

As well as you choose the ItemCode, it refreshes the corresponding line thats why your order ref. no. lost.

I dont think so it is possible.
