Hello everybody,
I tried to deploy a table via dictionary, but there is no "Create archive" in context menu. All tutorials und books use this operation to create the tables in the database.
1.) Why is "Create archive" missing in the context menu?
2.) Is there another way to deploy tables?
Thanks.
Marc
Hi Marc,
Generally speaking, you cannot deploy a single table; you deploy a Dictionary DC (or Dictionary project, for older releases) that contains the table definition.
Are you using SAP NetWeaver 7.1 with EHP1 or without EHP1?
Please, check the link below for more information on SAP NetWeaver 7.1 with EHP1:

In this release, the "Create Archive" option is not there for sure, because the deployment procedure has been changed.
If you are using SAP NetWeaver 7.1 (without EHP1), you can also use local projects for defining your tables. The option "Create Archive" should be there":

Last but not least - make sure you have opened the Dictionary perspective.
I hope that helps.
Best,
Yordan
