Hi team,
I have restarteed the ECC 6.0 server and i am seeing the SAPCPE.EXE file on the server
in the red color and it says that the process could not start is it critical ?
rest all services are running fine and able to logon to the SAP
Could someone please help me with the issue
Thanks & Regards
madhu
Madhu,
As Juan explained this synchronizes the binaries accross application servers. This becomes important when kernel is upgraded. It is not clear though where exactly you are seeing this exe file in RED color. Please check your trace files like dev_disp/dev_w0 for any warnings/errors.
Hope this helps.

sapcpe.exe coming with new kernel 7.0.1 need Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)
SO, download it at :
Install it on your server and it should solve your problem.

Hi
this is needed for copying the kernel to the exe directory when yoy start your SAP system
have you done any upgrades to the system?
just check whther this file is present in the exe folder or not

That program synchronizes the SAP kernel across application servers, so if there was no kernel update, this should not be an immediate issue... Maybe after a box restart it will be ok. Anyhow, not a bad idea to check the logs for more info about the error.
