Hi!
I've 2 transpor orders in dev system transporting for a long long time (with truck icon)... and it does nothing. What can I do?
Thanks,
Oscar
Hi Oscar,
Could you please run ABAP RDDNEWPP in the client in which you are importing into (i.e. <client> not client 000). This will schedule job RDDIMPDP_<client>. I would then be tempted to re-import the transport that is not correct, if possible.

Gary

Hi Oscar,
Are there any files in /usr/sap/trans/tmp related to the transport that is stuck that may contain information ?
Could you also please check that no jobs prefixed RDD* are terminating in SM37 and that job RDDIMPDP_<client> is running ?
What are the background processes in SM50 doing ?
Could you also please check the SAP system log for any related messages ?

Gary

Hi Oscar,
To look at the import monitor in STMS, select
Overview->Imports followed by Goto->Import Monitor.
Let me know if you find anything in the note to indicate your problem.

Hi Oscar,
This could be a number of things.
You could try checking the following things:
1) Does the STMS import monitor show anything ?
2) Do any of the transport logs show anything ?
3) How full is /usr/sap/trans ?
4) What is happening at the O/S level ? Is tp or R3trans still executing ?
5) Is the background job RDDIMPDP scheduled ?
6) Is the background processing system generally healthy ?
Also, take a look at note 71353 which details how to check why tp might be stuck.

Gary

Hi again,
1) Does the STMS import monitor show anything ?
- How can I look this?
2) Do any of the transport logs show anything ?
- No
3) How full is /usr/sap/trans ?
- It has more than 1gb...
4) What is happening at the O/S level ? Is tp or R3trans still executing ?
- No
5) Is the background job RDDIMPDP scheduled ?
- No. It's ended.
6) Is the background processing system generally healthy ?
- I think that's OK.
Thank.s I'll take a look at that note!
Oscar
2 hints:
A) Transport things 1 at a time.
B) Make sure that there are enough free background work processes on your server.
